A longtime Indiana University of Pennsylvania leader and alumna is helping push the university closer to a major fundraising milestone.
Dr. Ruth Riesenman, a 1964 IUP graduate, retired administrator, and community volunteer, has donated $25,000 to the university’s Impact 150 comprehensive campaign. Impact 150 is the largest fundraising effort in IUP’s history, with a goal of $150 million tied to the university’s 150th anniversary in 2025. With Riesenman’s gift, the campaign has now raised nearly $98 million, or about 65 percent of its goal.
Her donation supports scholarships, campus programs, and IUP’s proposed college of osteopathic medicine. University officials say Riesenman’s generosity reflects decades of leadership, mentorship, and commitment to IUP and the Indiana community.
With this gift, Dr. Riesenman has contributed nearly $250,000 to IUP over the years.
