District Attorney Robert Manzi has released more information on a case of homicide by vehicle.
Manzi says 36-year-old Joshua Brink entered a guilty plea to homicide by vehicle while DUI, a first-degree felony carrying a mandatory minimum sentence of seven years in state prison. Prosecutors say in August of 2021, Brink spent about two hours drinking at a bar before driving. He lost control on a curve, drove off the road, and struck a man who was mowing his lawn. The victim later died from his injuries. Authorities say Brink apologized to the victim’s wife, then fled the scene. He was found at a nearby home and taken into custody by Pennsylvania State Police. Testing showed Brink’s blood alcohol content was point-two-five-four—more than three times the legal limit—and also showed the presence of a cocaine metabolite.
The court ordered a pre-sentence investigation, with sentencing scheduled for March 16th, 2026.
