A winter storm struck the area yesterday afternoon and continued overnight, dumping anywhere from four to six inches of powdery snow on Indiana County. Plows worked on the snow-covered roads throughout the night, making them passable, but cautious driving is needed.

Indiana County 911 lists only a few incidents, including an accident on Whisky Run Road in Young Township, another one on Gemmel Road in Young Township, and a vehicle fire along Hill Top Manor East Drive in Armstrong Township.
