More information has been released on the lung issue suffered by Steelers leading pass rusher T.J. Watt. His older brother J.J. posted on X that TJ is resting comfortably at home after undergoing surgery to repair a partially collapsed lung. He suffered this after he received “dry needling” treatment at the UPMC Rooney sports complex on Wednesday. Recovery time has yet to be determined, so needless to say, he is officially out for Monday night’s game against Miami.
Meanwhile, prep continues for Monday night’s game. Wide receivers Ben Skowronek and Calvin Austin III were limited yesterday in practice, along with Malik Harrison and Darnell Washington, who are still going through concussion protocol. Keanu Benton was also working out in a limited basis. James Pierre, Andrus Peat, Cameron Heyward and Derrick Harmon did not practice.
