In High School Basketball action, the Indiana High Boys Team took on Penn Hills to open divisional play, and put on a show on defense. Pat Dougherty reports.
Apollo Ridge beat West Shamokin 56-28. Alex Talmadge lead the Wolves with 13 points while Nick Krizmanich had seven of his own. Apollo Ridge did not submit stats for the game.
In Girls Basketball, Marion Center edged United 55-52. Macie Miller had a career night for the Stingers with 34 points and 10 rebounds. Lilly McGinnis lead United with 24 points while Ella Worthington added 12 and Kenedi Fiochetta had 11.
Penns Manor beat Portage 57-25 last night in Girls Basketball. Clara Henry lead the team with 22 points, Katie Bertolino had a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds along with 5 assists.
In Wrestling, Marion Center beat Penn Cambria 46-30. Pinfall victories for Marion Center were picked up by Noah Fillipovich, Carter Knox and Griffin Tinsman. Penn Cambria’s pinfall wins came from Nate Mack, Michael Watt, Jesse Horning, Brycen Hursh and Layton Munyon.
