Users of sports betting sites in Pennsylvania are just weeks away from being required to identify themselves before placing wagers online.
Officials with the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board say new regulations will be in place for everyone in the state on platforms like DraftKings and FanDuel by the end of February.
Users will have to upload photos of their government ID when they set up accounts and they will need to complete a “liveness check” as well. This is done by taking a selfie and recording a video clip that can be checked against the uploaded ID.
