Faculty members at Penn State are set to decide on forming a union.
Members of the university’s organizing committee met with supporters in Harrisburg to file paperwork and make the announcement yesterday. If the move is ultimately approved, roughly six-thousand full and part-time faculty across the university system would organize under SEIU Local 668.
A vote on unionization is expected to happen next year.
