The agreement will allow students in the proposed school to have weekly classes at the forensic center for lab work and anatomy studies. Coroner Jerry Overman, Jr. said that the agreement is a milestone not just for the two institutions, but for the many students that will go through the program.
IUP President Dr. Michael Driscoll said it was more than just signatures on a piece of paper, but it represented a true collaboration with the community.
The agreement also will allow forensic science majors to complete required work and will give students in other disciplines a chance to complete work at the facility.
