The brother of a bouncer who died after being shot outside the New Kensington Elks Lodge is now wanted on criminal homicide charges.
Various felony counts have been filed against Steffon Ballard. Investigators say Steffon and his brother, Jeffrey Ballard, were involved in a fight with a third man early last Saturday morning when Steffon pulled a gun and hit the other man with it. The weapon went off at that time, with the bullet striking Jeffrey Ballard in the upper thigh, according to officials. Jeffrey was taken to a local hospital, where he reportedly died from excessive blood loss. Steffon had not been taken into custody as of last night.
