Conemaugh Valley led by only four at halftime but a big second half gave the Blue Jays a 75-42 win over Homer-Center. Lance Musser scored 23 points, Eric Korhut 19 and Jaylen Henry 17. Nash Budner scored 15 for the Wildcats.
Carter Payne scored 22 points, Ryan Felix 14, and Brody Burkett 10 as United slipped by Marion Center 61-52. Kamden Rozier scored 17 for the Stingers and Hayden Fox added 13.
Northern Cambria edged West Shamokin 42-34. Luke Blankenderfer had 11 for the Colts and Danny Farrell 10. Alex Talmadge scored 16 for the Wolves.
Conemaugh Township rolled by River Valley, 67-36. Neither school provided scoring details.
WRESTLING
In a match determined by forfeits, Cambria Heights defeated United 39-24. Heights had four forfeit winners while United had one. Winners on the mat for the Highlanders included Carter Orosz and Justin Galinis by fall and Levi Firm by decision. The Lions winners were Josef Garshnick, Ashton Stayrook and Connor Riffer by fall.
RIFLE
Indiana opened its season with a loss to Trinity, 796-58x to 786-44x. Top shooters for Indiana were Sarah Genchur with a 100-7x and Hunter Williams with a 100-6x.
