A Punxsutawney traffic stop led to DUI and child-endangerment charges for an Indiana woman who police say was driving under the influence of marijuana with three juvenile passengers, according to court documents (ExploreJeffersonPA.com).
Troopers reported that Melinda Kaye Haggerty, 47, was pulled over on Oct. 19 after an officer noticed her minivan’s expired inspection sticker. Police say Haggerty admitted to having marijuana in a roof compartment, failed field-sobriety tests, and later tested positive for Delta-9 THC.
A preliminary hearing is set for Dec. 18 before Magisterial District Judge Jacqueline J. Mizerock.
