Pens rookie defenseman Harrison Brunicke was selected to play for team Canada at the IIHF World Junior Championships.
A training camp will be staged between Dec. 12 and 22 to determine the final roster. Brunicke has skated in nine NHL games and scored one goal and has averaged just over 15 minutes of ice time in a game. The tournament will be held in Minneapolis and St. Paul.
