A Westmoreland County home is destroyed following a weekend fire.
Emergency crews were called to the property off Hoods Mill Road in Cook Township yesterday afternoon. Firefighters had to pump water out of a nearby creek to knock down the flames and keep them from spreading to the surrounding woods. John Lohr tells KDKA-TV the house, which his father built and lived in, is a total loss.
Lohr added that his dad believes an electric heater is what sparked the blaze.
