Voting is now open for this year’s PennDOT Paint the Plow program.
Nine snowplows were painted by students in the District 10 region, which includes Indiana, Armstrong, Jefferson, Butler and Clarion Counties. This is part of a statewide initiative that highlights safe driving during the winter months and showcase the artistic abilities of Pennsylvania’s students. The theme for this year is “Don’t Race, Allow Some Space”, which is meant to promote keeping a safe distance from plows and other vehicles during winter weather conditions.
In Indiana County, students from Indiana, Penns Manor and River Valley are taking part along with others from across the region. The public can vote for their favorite by logging on to www.penndot.pa.gov/PaintThePlow. The plow with the most votes will receive the title of fan favorite.
Voting ends next Sunday and winners will be announced later this month.
