A holiday tradition to help the armed forces continued over the weekend at Mytrysak Family Tree Farm.
Saturday marked the annual Trees For Troops day at the farm along Fleming Road in Indiana. During the event, those attending were able to donate a Christmas Tree to the program which went to 70 military bases in the United States and overseas. Each tree has a special tag that donors used to write a message to the recipients. The farm also offered live music, wagon rides, an opportunity to meet a soldier and members of the Johnstown Generals hockey team.
As of this morning, 150 trees are on their way to MacGill Airforce Base in Florida for distribution.
