The Pittsburgh Penguins made a roster move ahead of their game Sunday against the Dallas Stars, as forward Joona Koppanen was placed on waivers yesterday.
Should he clear waivers by 2 PM, he would be eligible for reassignment with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Baby Pens. So far this season, he has appeared in 10 games in the NHL and has one assist and averaging near 13 minutes of ice time per game. He has primarily worked on the left wing of the third and fourth lines. You can hear the Penguins take on the Stars starting at 5:00 PM tomorrow with the pre-game show on U-92.5 FM.
