Nearly 100 people will lose their jobs with the just-announced closure of a snack manufacturing plant in Somerset County.
The Snyder of Berlin plant on Stadium Street will be closing in the coming months. The plant has been in operation since 1947. Utz Brands purchased the Snyder of Berlin company in 2019 and later sold the Somerset County plant to a company called Our Home.
Our Home has not publicly stated a reason for the closure.
