A woman charged with criminal homicide will have her case tried in Indiana County’s Court of Common Pleas.
At yesterday’s preliminary hearing, charges were held against 36-year-old Jessica Lynn Morelli in connection with a stabbing on October 5th in Burrell Township. State police and Blairsville police officers were called out to a home on that day for a report of a domestic incident and reportedly found her along with the victim, 66-year-old William Joseph Collins in the home where the two were living. Investigators believed that she stabbed him multiple times. Other details on the case have not been released.
She remains in Indiana County Jail. Bail was denied due to the criminal homicide charge she faces. She is also charged with aggravated assault and possession of an instrument of crime. She awaits a formal arraignment hearing on January 27th in front of County Judge Gina Force.
