A Blairsville woman charged with criminal homicide and other crimes will go before a district judge today for a preliminary hearing.
State police charged 36-year-old Jessica Lynn Morelli in connection with a stabbing on October 5th in Burrell Township. Troopers from the Kiski barracks and Blairsville Police were called out to a home on Pender Avenue while troopers from the Indiana barracks were dealing with an incident in Grant Township. Officers found Morelli and her victim, 66-year-old William Joseph Collins, in the home where the two were living. She reportedly stabbed him multiple times.
She has been in Indiana County Jail since her arraignment due to the homicide charge she faces. On top of that, she faces charges of aggravated assault and possession of an instrument of crime.
The hearing is scheduled for 1:15 PM in front of District Judge Robert Belle, Sr.
