As the first major snow of the winter season hits western Pennsylvania, conditions are expected to continue throughout the week.
So far, about 2-3 inches of snow has accumulated, making for slick road conditions and closing local schools. AccuWeather meteorologist Bill Deger says that this first storm will taper off later in the morning.
Looking ahead to the rest of the week, Deger says that there will be more opportunities for snow and ice.
