Pennsylvania lawmakers again failed to reach a deal to regulate slot-like skill games during this year’s budget negotiations, leaving the machines in legal limbo despite bipartisan interest.
Gov. Josh Shapiro called the issue “unfinished business,” while state Senate Majority Leader Joe Pittman, a Republican from Indiana County, said gaming reform must remain a priority as the state faces mounting revenue pressures.
