Dog licenses for 2026 are going on sale today in Pennsylvania.
An annual license is ten dollars and 80 cents, but seniors and people with disabilities can get a two-dollar discount. The money from the license sales goes towards funding for dog wardens across the state.
Dogs must be licensed at the point of adoption or purchase, or at three months of age if no transfer of ownership has taken place. The youngest age that a dog can be licensed in Pennsylvania is eight weeks. All dogs need to have new tags by January first.
Licenses can be purchased online at licenseyourdogpa.pa.gov or at the County Treasurer’s office at the Indiana County Courthouse.
