Last night, the Cincinnati Bengals rolled over the Baltimore Ravens 32-14 to give them a much-needed victory. It was quarterback Joe Burrow’s first game since his surgery for turf toe eleven weeks ago. Joe Burrow passed for 261 yards and two touchdowns in the victory, while Ja’Marr Chase caught seven passes for 110 yards. Cincinnati improved to 4-and-8. Lamar Jackson passed for 246 yards and an interception in the losing effort. The Ravens dropped to 6-and-6.
The loss by Baltimore gives the Steelers a chance to regain the lead in the AFC North. They will play on Sunday afternoon against the Buffalo Bills.
Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin said talked earlier this week about the challenge of facing Buffalo Quarterback Josh Allen.
Tomlin said that he is excited for this weekend’s matchup.
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers was a full participant in practice on Thursday, marking his first time practicing since fracturing his left wrist in the game against Cincinnati two weeks ago. He said that he was going to see how he felt after practice, but was also going to get casted up yesterday and see how he responds.
Linebacker Alex Highsmith, defensive tackle Cam Heyward and receiver DK Metcalfe were full participants as well. Left tackle Broderick Jones is still recovering from a neck injury and was already ruled out for this week, so Calvin Anderson is stepping up to take his spot. Defensive end Derrick Harmon is also out.
Wide receiver Ben Skowronek did not practice as he continues to nurse a shoulder injury.
