Police in Indiana Borough filed charges this week for a DUI case that goes back to October 19th.
Police said on that day, they pulled over a car in the 500 block of Philadelphia Street. The driver, identified as 27-year-old Douglas E. Shaffor of Indiana, was pulled over for summary driving offenses, and officers determined he was under the influence of alcohol to the point that he was not safe to drive. He was taken into custody and then to IRMC for evidence collection before he was released to a sober adult.
A criminal complaint was filed through District Judge Tony Sottile’s office.
