An IUP alum and an Indiana native has joined the school’s proposed college of osteopathic medicine as its new executive in residence.

Nationally recognized healthcare executive, risk and compliance leader, attorney and adviser Lisa Estrada will take on the volunteer position. She will contribute her expertise towards the development of mission-driven leadership models, compliant operations, and health care innovative to educating the next generations of physicians. She graduated from IUP in 1988 with a degree in Journalism and Political Science, and has over 25 years experience guiding hospitals, healthcare providers and nonprofit organizations.
In a statement, IUP’s founding dean of the proposed college Dr. Miko Rose said that Estrada will be a welcome addition to the team, and they will continue to rely heavily on her, especially in the strategic planning process.
