More government spending cuts and layoffs may be on the way in Westmoreland County.
Commissioners released a preliminary budget for the county yesterday that is coming in at a 30-million-dollar deficit. The proposed 463-million-dollar spending plan is eleven-million over the budget for 2025. All three commissioners say they will keep property taxes steady and will be looking into any cuts that can be made.
The final budget is due on December 18th.
