A Punxsutawney man is in jail after allegedly making repeated, violent threats toward a local family, including their 16-year old daughter, according to state police.
Investigators say 25-year-old Brandon Pearce, pictured above, sent multiple messages threatening to kill the girl’s father and later showed up at the family’s home on Nov. 11, where he was captured on a Ring doorbell camera shouting disturbing threats, including that he was “going to kill someone,” “kill and rape” the 16-year old daughter and “I am on your front porch and I am going to rape your daughter.”
The police complaint said Pearce spoke “to [the man] in his head” during the incident on the porch.
Troopers say Pearce also appeared to speak in different voices and claimed he was armed with a knife. Court records show he was taken into custody and is being held at the Jefferson County Jail on $5,000 bail.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 24 at 12:00 p.m. with Judge Mizerock presiding.
