Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a fatal incident that followed a domestic dispute in Derry Township, Westmoreland County, on Saturday night.
According to Troopers Steve Limani and Cliff Greenfield in a post on X, authorities were called to James Street after reports of a domestic disturbance involving gunshots.
Police said a trooper exchanged gunfire with 28-year-old suspect Ryan Huinker, who was allegedly armed, on the front porch of a house. Huinker was wounded and later died.
No further details have been released.
