The 2026 budget will be up to discussion tonight at the Indiana Borough Council work session.
The budget and its corresponding tax ordinance are the only items on the agenda for tonight, as the borough plans to advertise a budget with no tax increases. The rate under the proposed plan would hold steady at 7.522 mills.
This comes after taxes were increased to their current levels last year. The average property owner currently pays $151 in property taxes to the borough. If approved tonight, the budget will be advertised over the next month, and final approval is slated for December.
The meeting will be held tonight at 7:00 PM at the George E. Hood Municipal Building on 8th Street.
