Blairsville Borough Council will hold its regular meeting tonight, and the draft budget is on the agenda.
Last year, the borough increased taxes for the first time since 2019, approving a one-mil tax increase for borough residents. The tax rate is currently 5.410 mills. The draft budget for 2026 will be on the agenda tonight as the borough will look to approve advertising it, with the hope that final approval will come next month.
Council will also consider taking out its annual tax anticipation note and look at ordinances to amend the peddler permit fee and property maintenance permit fee structures.
The meeting is scheduled for 5:30 tonight at the borough building.
