The faculty union at IUP and the other state-owned universities will stage a rally on Monday in Harrisburg, advocating for “fully funding higher education, good jobs, and the adoption of PA Promise,” a policy designed to make college and university education affordable for all Pennsylvania families and students. Members of APSCUF and four other statewide unions (American Federation of Teachers-Pennsylvania, United Steelworkers, Service Employees International Union, and Higher Education Labor United) will gather with lawmakers and supporters in the Capitol rotunda at three o’clock.
On November 7th, APSCUF members rallied in seven cities across Pennsylvania, targeting Senator Dave McCormick, urging him to “protect and fund higher education in (the) commonwealth.”
