Pennsylvania schools will once again be required to accept cash for tickets to sports, concerts and other events under a new law prompted by concerns that digital-only systems were shutting out seniors, low-income families and children without access to credit cards.
The measure, championed by Rep. Dan Moul and included in the state’s 2025 Education Code, reverses policies by some districts and the PIAA that had moved to online-only sales.
Supporters say the law protects privacy and ensures all residents can attend public school activities.
