Less than a week after the conclusion of the 2025 football season for Heritage Conference teams, one school finds itself looking for another head coach for the 2026 campaign.
At Thursday’s meeting, the Conemaugh Valley school board accepted the resignation of head coach Joel Holsopple, effective Nov. 5, after just one season. High school principal Brian Randall said Holsopple stepped down after informing the district that he had accepted a position elsewhere. He said that the school district will advertise for the position quickly in hopes of hiring someone before the Christmas holiday because players are entering the weight-lifting season and need supervision.
Conemaugh Valley, which is in a co-op program with Ferndale Area High School, went 0-10 this season after a 1-9 season in 2024.
