More than 100 people are expected to be in attendance today at a conference held by the State Association of Realtors concerning the impact of the future natural gas-fired power plant coming to Center Township.
The Indiana County Regional Development Conference will take place from 8 am to 4 pm today at Chestnut Ridge Golf Resort and Conference Center in Blairsville, and will feature four main panel discussions, including an update on the status of the power plant and data center project from Homer City Redevelopment, LLC. Other topics that will be covered include opportunities for economic development and housing, solutions for short- and long-term housing, and funding sources for housing and commercial projects.
In an interview on Indiana in the Morning on Wednesday, Justin Capoullez from the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors is calling this project a “game changer” for the county.
While they are near capacity for in-person attendance, people can also watch the conference online. To register, log on to indianadevelopmentconference.com.
