A Somerset County man is accused of having child sex abuse material on his personal devices.
Authorities executed a search warrant at the home of 72-year-old Jeffrey Engel last week. The state Attorney General’s Office says Engel stored inappropriate content on a desktop and a laptop computer, including AI-generated materials.
This is at least the fourth time the AG’s office has prosecuted someone for having AI-generated child sex abuse material since the content was outlawed last December.
