Wednesday night, Clymer Borough Council approved advertising the 2026 budget.
The proposed spending plan balances at $641,150 with property taxes going to 4.90 mills. Borough manager Sonya Schrenkel said that while it is a bit of an increase, this is due to the shifting of some of the tax money to the general fund.
The biggest increases were seen in insurance costs for next year.
The budget is available for public inspection and is expected to be up for approval at the council’s meeting in December.
