The Indiana County Court of Common Pleas will hold a motions hearing today for a woman accused of suffocating her infant child.
Court documents show that Patricia An Hullenbaugh of Indiana is charged with two counts of strangulation, as well as single counts of criminal homicide, possession of an instrument of crime and endangering the welfare of a child for the incident dating back to January 6th of 2024.
Police said she initially called 911 that day to report that her child had stopped breathing and claimed he was hanging out of his crib with his face in a mattress. She later recanted her story to police and admitted to smothering the child with a blanket.
A supplemental omnibus pretrial motion for relief was filed in May of this year. This marks the fourth attempt to hold the motions hearing. A criminal call hearing is also planned for January.
She’s been denied bail, and is being housed at the Indiana County jail. Her hearing will be held before President Judge Thomas Bianco.
