State police have filed new charges against a Jefferson County inmate who remains missing after walking away from a work release program in DuBois last week.
John Russ Moon, 58, of North Versailles, faces a felony count of escape and a misdemeanor count of flight to avoid apprehension, according to court records. Authorities said Moon left his work release assignment on the morning of Nov. 7 and is believed to still be in the DuBois area.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact police.
