The Pennsylvania Game Commission is planning to thin coyote numbers in the Churchill area.
Some residents have reported seeing the wild dogs in or near their yards, prompting a response from wildlife officials. Game wardens will be conducting nighttime hunts at the old Westinghouse property using night vision and silenced rifles.
Local police say there will be no danger to people who live nearby.
