The Armstrong County Community Foundation celebrated local nonprofits and community impact during its Annual Dinner at Harvest Church in Kittanning.
The event featured dinner, raffles, and recognition of board members and founding directors, with Tom Scherf serving as emcee.
A highlight of the night was hearing from grant recipients, including the Indiana County Public Safety Academy, represented by Deputy Director Danny Sacco. The Academy received nearly $5,000 from the Harry C. Brenneman Memorial Fund to purchase hose-cleaning equipment that will help reduce exposure to contaminants and extend the life of training tools.
Indiana County Director of Emergency Management Tom Stutzman talked about how it felt to be one of the grant recipients.
In total, the Foundation awarded a record $575,000 in grants to 56 nonprofit organizations this year, supporting community programs and services across the region.
