Several people were sentenced yesterday in Indiana County Court, including a man charged with simple assault and harassment.
State police charged 58-year-old Clarence Shaffer Jr. in connection with an incident on February 3rd of this year. Police said that he punched a woman in the ribs, causing some bruising before fleeing the scene. For a guilty plea to a charge of simple assault, he was ordered to serve a year of probation.
Also sentenced yesterday was 25-year-old Kyreek Finney of Indiana. He was charged with terroristic threats, resisting arrest and possession of a small amount of marijuana. He was ordered to serve a total of two years of probation for the three charges.
