Earlier this week, Citizens’ Ambulance Service honored some of their first responders with special awards.
Fred Catchpole, Hugh Schultz and Don Rupert were each honored with Citizens’ Robert E. Wallbeck, Jr. award for their years of service. The award made its debut last year, and it celebrates proven dedication, exemplary service and excellent patient care. The three were honored for their work as IRP’s. Citizens’ Director of Operations Michael Dunn said that they respond alongside the main ambulances that head out on calls.
The three have a combined 80 years of service to the ambulance company.
