The NFL trade deadline came and went without the Steelers making any moves, but they did sign veteran wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling to the practice squad.
He replaces Beanie Bishop, who was released earlier this week. Valdes-Scantling has played with Aaron Rogers for four years while the two were in Green Bay. In his eight years, he has caught 209 passes for 3,606 yards and 20 touchdowns. Two others headed to the practice squad include defensive back Daequan Hardy and linebacker Mark Robinson. They take over for defensive end K.J. Henry and receiver John Rhys Plumlee, as they were released from the practice squad.
