Sources are saying that three Pirates players have been placed on waivers.
Those players include Ji Hwan Bae, who batted .050 across 13 games with the Pirates in the 2025 season. His best was in 2023, when he batted .231 in 111 games and had 32 RBIs and 24 stolen bases.
Liover Peguero is also on the waiver wire. He batted .200 in 33 games and spent time in three different infield spots, but outside a five-RBI game in Colorado, he otherwise struggled.
Right handed pitcher Jack Little did not make it to the Pirates roster. He did pitch for the LA Dodgers before the Pirates claimed him off waivers and sent him to Triple-A Indianapolis, where he made 14 appearances and had a 2.79 ERA.
If each clear waivers, the Pirates could outright each to the minors, but all three have been in the pros for at least seven years, so each would be eligible for minor league free agency and would become a minor league free agent on Thursday,
