Geraldine Ruth (Anderson) Patterson, 84, formerly of Rebekah Manor in Northern Cambria, PA and the Greenwich, PA area, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 31, 2025 from where she was more recently living at her daughter’s home near Indiana, PA.
The daughter of Jay and Dessie (Meyers) Anderson, Geraldine was born on May 11, 1941 in Barnesboro, PA.
Geraldine was a graduate of Purchase Line High School.
She had attended services with the Missions Around the World in Alverda, PA and the Pine Grove Church of God, Cherry Tree, PA. Geraldine loved to play the piano. She shared her talent as a pianist playing hymns during the Missions Around the World services.
Geraldine wed William “Bill” Ray Patterson on February 20, 1960. They had shared over forty years of marriage when Bill passed away on April 25, 2001.
A housewife dedicated to her family, she enjoyed playing bingo; crafting and completing puzzle books in her spare time.
Most of all, Geraldine thoroughly loved spending time with her family attending birthday parties; reunions and holiday celebrations.
She is survived by her five children: Janet Arlene McGuire and husband Patrick of Clymer, PA; William Jay “Bud” Patterson and wife Kathy of Greenwich, PA; Pamela Jean Conner and husband Thomas of Indiana, PA; Dennis Ray Patterson and wife Lisa of Cherry Tree, PA and Lester Wayne Patterson and wife Denise of Marion Center, PA; twelve grandchildren and thirty great grandchildren.
Also surviving are her brother, Paul Anderson of Greenwich, PA; her three sisters: Mary Keith and Martha Gibbler, both of Greenwich, PA; Marie Swan of Indiana, PA and numerous nieces and nephews.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Timothy Patterson; her great grandchild Ayden Conner; her two brothers: Warren and Philip Anderson; her sister, Lois Patterson and her close friend, Robert Grazier.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m., the time of the funeral service, at the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd. in Hillsdale, PA. Pastor Rachel Karlinsey and Pastor Steve Lecorchick will officiate. Interment will be at the McDowell Cemetery in Green Township.
