A worker is in critical condition after falling from the main scoreboard at Acrisure Stadium on Saturday night while setting up for the Steelers’ Sunday Night Football game.
Emergency crews responded around 10 p.m. after the man reportedly fell about 50 feet onto a catwalk. Firefighters and medics used a rope system to reach and stabilize him before transporting him to Allegheny General Hospital with severe lower-body injuries.
Authorities said the incident happened during preparations for “First Responders Night,” and Pittsburgh Police are investigating. The worker’s identity has not been released.
