Indiana Borough Police are warning people to take safety very seriously during the upcoming trick-or-treating season in the wake of the crash on Monday that killed two people.
In a post on the Department’s Facebook Page, police say that the department has enhanced enforcement efforts this week for pedestrian and vehicle violations along Philadelphia Street. In response to the recent tragedies, pedestrian safety, motorist safety and distracted driving are going to be targeted with a zero-tolerance approach.
They ask for people to be vigilant, watch for pedestrians and to keep today’s event in the Downtown Indiana business district fun and safe for everyone.
