Center Zach Frazier missed Steelers practice for a second straight day yesterday due to a calf injury but said he plans to play on Sunday night against Green Bay. He was the only absentee from practice. Wide receiver Scotty Miller was limited with a finger injury.
Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers appeared before Green Bay media yesterday and revealed that he plans to retire from football, whenever that day arrives, as a Packer. He said his football career “starts, and will end one day, with Green Bay.”
HALL OF FAME
The late Steelers great defensive end L.C. Greenwood is one of 34 former pros to advance in the consideration for the Pro Football Hall of Fame by the Seniors Blue-Ribbon Committee. The list will be pared down to nine semifinalists, then three finalists, and finally one who will be inducted into the Hall.
Earlier this week, Steelers greats Maurkice Pouncey, Hines Ward, James Harrison, and Gary Anderson were among 54 players who advanced to the next round in the regular voting for the Hall of Fame, while James Farrior and Casey Hampton did not make the cut.
