The IUP Institute for Rural Health and Safety hosted a roundtable yesterday concerning traffic issues.
That roundtable meeting was held at PennDOT’s District 10 office on Oakland Avenue. On hand for the discussion were state legislators, community organizations, law enforcement officials, advocacy groups and other partner groups with a goal of creating action and goal-oriented strategies to reduce risky driving behaviors and address safety concerns. This came on the heels of the fatal crash on Monday that killed two people in Downtown Indiana.
Topics discussed yesterday included driver’s education, pedestrian safety, motorcycle safety and impaired driving.
