MAN ACCUSED OF SCAMMING AUTISTIC CO-WORKER OUT OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS

In Westmoreland County, a man is facing charges for allegedly scamming an autistic coworker out of thousands of dollars.

Authorities say Scott Soles, who worked with the victim at Hillview Motors in Greensburg, promised to help the victim make new friends in exchange for money. Investigators report that the victim lost more than $5,300 before their family discovered what was happening and contacted authorities.

Soles was arrested this week and charged with theft by deception and extortion.
